B2B data buying guide

Ample Leads: official access, pricing and a practical evaluation guide

Find the Ample Leads official site, check pricing and conflicting trial information, and evaluate exports with a repeatable quality and cost worksheet.

OwnerClueSources checked Public-source research

The answer first

Looking for Ample Leads? Start at its official site. This guide then helps you judge whether its data workflow fits your target accounts, what to verify before paying, and when public website research serves a different task.

Open Ample Leads
  • Use the official Ample Leads site for sign-in, account terms and current offers.
  • Evaluate relevant accounts and reviewable contacts separately from exported row totals.
  • OwnerClue can research public business websites; it does not extract Ample Leads search URLs.

Written by OwnerClue, which offers its own prospecting product. We explain where the other tool fits better. Findings rely on linked public sources; examples and worksheets are not product test results.

Find the official Ample Leads site

The product discussed here is Ample Leads at ampleleads.io. Its public site describes a B2B search-URL extraction service with contact/company fields and CSV or Google Sheets delivery. Use its homepage's Sign In control for your account. This guide is published by OwnerClue, a separate product, and does not provide Ample Leads account access or support.

Check the domain before following account instructions. Amplemarket is a different website and brand. Searching for a short name can surface unrelated companies; similar spelling alone does not establish a connection.

If you only need to log in, the official link above completes that task. If you are evaluating a subscription, the useful questions are about your target records, what the export can support, and the work left after download. We reviewed public pages on October 3, 2026; we have not completed a paid extraction or measured this provider's coverage, delivery time or accuracy.

Decide what a successful lead record means

Write the acceptance rule before you look at a large row count. For a campaign aimed at finance directors in software companies, a company record without a current, relevant person may be insufficient. For selling website services to independent shops, a public business mailbox with a correct website may be useful even when the owner is unnamed. Those are different deliverables.

Your task Minimum useful record What still needs review
Reach a particular department Matching company and a person in the intended role Employment recency and whether the contact route fits the role
Find local businesses Correct business, location and website Branch versus headquarters and independent versus franchise
Build an account research list Relevant company and stable identity Industry fit, duplicates and why your offer applies
Contact a named owner Person, published role and supporting evidence Whether the role means current ownership; whether an email is linked to that person

A filled job-title cell is an observation to check, not evidence that the person can buy your service. A personal-looking address is not automatically an owner's email. Keep your acceptance rule narrow enough that two reviewers can apply it consistently.

Pricing and free-trial information to check

The public pricing section displayed these monthly plans at review time:

Plan Monthly price Advertised credits
Starter $29 11,500
Growth $59 24,000
Scale $99 41,000

Other tiers are listed on the official page. Recheck the offer before paying; this table records the public display, not a checkout test. Unused capacity makes the advertised cost per thousand less useful for a small campaign.

Trial information conflicts. The homepage advertises 500 credits for work-email signup, while the refund policy, dated August 1, 2025, lists 1,000 trial credits. Ask which allowance applies to your account rather than budgeting against the larger number.

The policy defines one credit as one successfully extracted lead with valid data; rollover requires an active subscription. A billed extraction is not necessarily a contact that meets your campaign's criteria. Keep the billing count and your accepted-contact count separate.

Refund consideration requires a request within seven days of the initial subscription purchase, a technical problem preventing use, and unused subscription credits. Renewals and add-on credits are excluded; approval is not automatic. Read the full conditions before a paid test and retain your purchase confirmation.

For a developer workflow, ask for accessible documentation, a supported input example, billing rules and failure behavior. Do not design an integration around a landing-page badge. Your acceptance test should include whether a retry repeats delivery, consumes new credits, or can safely reuse an existing job.

Run a small pilot with a written review rule

The following is a proposed evaluation procedure, not a test we performed on Ample Leads.

  1. Choose one target segment. Define country, industry, company size and role. Add exclusions such as agencies, existing customers and subsidiaries you do not sell to. Record the exact search and date so a later export can be compared with the same brief.
  2. Check input support first. The homepage labels Sales Navigator extraction available and Ocean.io coming soon. Confirm the exact supported source and URL format before submitting your search. A link that opens in your browser may not work in another service. Confirm any source-account requirements and the source's permitted use.
  3. Request a small export. Use the confirmed trial allowance or a budget you can accept. Set a modest record limit, retain the job identifier, and record the actual credits consumed and completion time. Avoid starting with your entire territory.
  4. Preserve the original file. Keep it unchanged and perform review on a copy. Import phone numbers as text. Retain company domains and any source identifiers; they help distinguish duplicate people, shared headquarters and separate branches.
  5. Review both filled and missing fields. Take a sample across the file rather than selecting the most complete rows. Check the company website, target geography, published role and identity match. Include rows with absent email, uncertain role or incomplete company information in your count.
  6. Separate the sending decision. If your workflow requires current mailbox verification, record that result and its date separately. A domain accepting mail, a name matching an address pattern, or a third party returning a positive status does not establish the person's role or interest.
  7. Decide from the gaps. Export formatting can usually be fixed locally. A systematically wrong industry or absent target role changes the buying decision. An uncertain source requires clarification before the list moves downstream.

Use the same reviewer and criteria when comparing providers. If different tools find different companies, compare each against the common target brief rather than claiming accuracy from the size of the intersection alone.

A worksheet that makes list quality visible

Add these review columns alongside the original export. They are your worksheet fields, not a claimed Ample Leads export schema.

Review column What to record Example decision
target_fit Whether company, geography and role match the brief Retain, exclude or needs research
normalized_company_domain Domain after removing scheme and tracking paths Use for company deduplication
contact_identity Person plus company or profile identifier Avoid merging namesakes
role_source_url Page supporting the role, if available Blank when no evidence is found
role_checked_at Date of your manual review Revisit an old role before use
email_category Business general, person-linked or unconfirmed Do not promote a general inbox to a personal email
mailbox_check Result from any separate verification step Preserve unknown and inconclusive results
exclusion_reason Why a row was removed Wrong market, duplicate, former employee or insufficient evidence

Count raw rows, unique identities, relevant accounts, supported target roles and contacts approved for your specific use separately. A row may pass company fit and fail person fit. Another may have no named person but provide an acceptable business contact route. Your totals should make those cases visible.

Calculate the cost of the list you can actually use

Use this formula for a defined campaign period:

Cost per approved contact = (allocated extraction spend + verification spend + review cost) ÷ approved unique contacts.

Allocate a subscription to the campaign honestly. If you buy a month for one campaign and leave most credits unused, the campaign carries that spend. If several campaigns share the same subscription, document the allocation instead of counting the full month against each one.

Here is a hypothetical example, independent of any provider's measured performance:

Item Illustrative amount
Extraction budget allocated to the campaign $30
Separate verification $12
Manual review time valued for the calculation $18
Raw rows downloaded 1,000
Rows matching the target after review 300
Unique contacts meeting the written acceptance rule 120

The illustrative total is $60. Dividing by 1,000 gives $0.06 per raw row; dividing by 120 gives $0.50 per approved contact. Neither figure is a vendor benchmark. The difference shows why you need the denominator before comparing price labels. If no contacts pass, report the spend and zero approved results rather than presenting a cost-per-contact figure.

Measure replies or meetings later as a separate outcome. A correct list can still be paired with an unsuitable offer, and a reply does not validate every unused record.

How much confidence should you place in reviews?

A useful review identifies its input, test date, delivered file, review method and limits. A single anecdote can suggest a question to ask but cannot establish present service quality across countries or industries.

Prospeo's alternatives article includes Ample Leads but explicitly says its own testing was limited. That disclosure is helpful; its comparative figures should not replace your pilot. The page is also published by another vendor, so distinguish its commercial preference from evidence about your target segment.

If you encounter a trust-score page or a complaint, inspect the underlying evidence, date and response. An automated score is not a completed extraction test. A positive mention is not proof of future delivery either. Use your small pilot, support clarification and saved purchase terms to resolve the specific uncertainty instead of adopting a blanket verdict.

When OwnerClue serves a different task

OwnerClue focuses on local business research and public website evidence. You can start with an industry/location search in the workspace, or research websites you already have through domain enrichment. Supported people records retain a role, original wording, source URL and capture time. Owner discovery explains why a founder or president is not automatically the current legal owner.

If an existing export contains company websites, you can prepare a separate domain list for that workflow. Keep the original company or record identifier in your own spreadsheet, add an optional company name, normalize the domains, and submit batches of at most 100 rows. Join reviewed results back by normalized domain while preserving person-level rows. Multiple people at one company do not become one person merely because they share a website.

This is a CSV-based research handoff, not an Ample Leads integration. OwnerClue does not read its search URLs or promise the same employee, funding or social-profile coverage. Public email discovery does not include mailbox delivery verification, and missing owner evidence remains blank. Read the field dictionary and export instructions before using this route.

Continue with a database extraction workflow when that is the source and record type your campaign needs. Consider website research when your unresolved question is who a business publicly identifies and where its contact details were published.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I log in to Ample Leads?

Use the account control on the official homepage. Account, extraction and billing questions belong with that provider. OwnerClue cannot access those accounts.

Is a large exported list ready for outreach?

Only after it meets your written criteria. Check target fit, duplicates, relevant role, identity and the contact channel your campaign requires. Keep a separate count for records approved after review.

Can I use OwnerClue with a company-domain export?

You can prepare the domains as a new website-research input. That can add public evidence when it exists; it does not guarantee that a database contact will appear on the business website or that the two records describe the same person.

Does this guide prove that either product has better data?

No. It provides a repeatable decision method and explains the different tasks. A fair data comparison needs a dated, representative sample and consistent review rules.
