How local SEO agencies build a prospect shortlist

Use industry-and-city research to find relevant businesses, then manually inspect local visibility and prepare a source-backed contact list. Includes a dental-practice review checklist.

Start with one service and one local market

Define the problem you can demonstrate and the business type that might benefit. For example, search dentist in a supported city, then review website, rating, review count and public contacts. OwnerClue prepares the research list; it does not provide a complete agency acquisition, referral or sending system.

Dental-practice review checklist

Check Current data Manual follow-up
Territory and category City and returned category Confirm the practice's service area and dental specialty
Independent or chain Branch names/websites Check ownership or parent group; no reliable automatic classifier
Rating/review volume Snapshot and fixed reviews_below_20 signal Apply numeric ranges in CSV and inspect recent review context
Local visibility gap No measured ranking-gap field Run the same query from a stated location/time and save results
Website/GBP quality Website status and available fields Inspect profile completeness, mobile journey and forms yourself
Decision-maker Supported published role where found Verify clinic role/current authority; do not infer ownership

The supplier's returned order is not a stable local rank. A low review count alone is not proof that a practice is a good buyer. OwnerClue does not perform a complete GBP/SEO audit or service-value scoring.

Go from list to an evidence-based conversation

Exclude irrelevant or uncertain businesses. Choose one checkable observation, keep the URL and date, and assess whether you can help before contacting the practice. Preserve full CSV and its sources. Referrals, partnerships, case studies and follow-up remain your own activities; a list alone does not establish customer demand.

Measure a real pilot

For a dated city/industry sample, record discovered and relevant businesses, usable contacts, missing fields, research time and actual outcomes separately. No measured time-saving or client-conversion case is published here. Use data quality, local business fields and owner evidence to build your checklist.
