Your review goal

New five-star reviews needed

60

To reach an average of 4.5.

Assumes all new reviews are five stars. Google’s displayed average is rounded.

How the estimate is calculated

New reviews = round up [review count × (target − current) ÷ (5 − target)]

Example: 100 reviews at 4.2 need 60 new five-star reviews to reach an exact average of 4.5.

Why can the public rating change earlier or later?

Google displays a rounded average. This calculation treats your input as exact and assumes every new review is five stars.

Why must the target be below 5.0?

If your current average is below 5.0, adding five-star reviews approaches 5.0 but never reaches it exactly. A rounded public display is a different target.
