Enrich 500 local business websites with public contact evidence
Upload an existing spreadsheet without buying a new database, and compare enrichment tools on small-business coverage.

A 500-website list in one task
The domain enrichment workspace accepts up to 1,000 input rows per task and a 1 MB CSV. Paste domains or upload domain/website/url with an optional business name column. Full website URLs are accepted and normalized to the hostname; a deep page URL does not restrict the crawler to that page. A 500-site list fits in one task and one full export.
Duplicate normalized domains in that batch share the first result and do not create a second enrichment charge. The 1,000-row limit includes duplicate input rows. Different branch pages on one domain are therefore not separate domain-enrichment targets. For branch discovery, use Maps records instead.
Enrich the spreadsheet you already have
Do not buy a Maps list again. Upload the existing websites with business names where known. Review each row's success, failure, duplicate marker or needs-review outcome. A readable unique website uses one credit even if no email or owner is found; failed and uncertain-match rows refund the reservation. The full CSV keeps input order, blank fields, sources and owner evidence. See input and billing rules.
The UI displays results in pages; the complete export includes the whole batch rather than only its first results page. Retry the same API submission with the same idempotency key and unchanged input. If the list changes, use a new key. When credits run out, resume the existing paused task after adding credits.
Hunter, Clay, or website-first enrichment?
| First requirement | What to test |
|---|---|
| Public email addresses on domains you already know | Hunter's Bulk Domain Search, alongside a website-first sample |
| Combine several providers and workflow steps | Clay's provider and enrichment documentation |
| Public phones, supported owners, website text and evidence in one result | OwnerClue's domain workflow and full export |
| Confirm mailbox delivery | A separate verification step; public email presence alone does not do this |
Small-business coverage cannot be established by a selected marketing sample. Use the same unselected 30–50 domains for each trial. Include one-person businesses, branches, sites with only a general mailbox and unreadable sites. Define the country and business category before running it.
A coverage scorecard you can reproduce
Count matched websites, readable websites, businesses with any public email, named people with explicit owner evidence, and usable contact paths separately. Divide each by all submitted unique domains, retaining failures in the denominator. Record staff review minutes and the paid bill. A claimed owner without a supporting public role and URL does not pass the owner criterion.
The worked roofing example includes a downloadable first-30-record file that keeps missing and failed rows alongside the selected ten-record display. It shows provenance and a denominator, not a Hunter-versus-Clay benchmark. No representative cross-vendor coverage trial has been completed here. Use the CSV workbench for deduplication and a repeatable review file, while keeping the raw full export for evidence.
